Agency’s content marketing wins gold from world’s largest travel marketing competition
Adams & Knight, together with its client the Connecticut Office of Tourism, was recently honored with a 2019 Adrian Award by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) for the content marketing program it created for the tourism organization.
The content marketing program, a critical component of Connecticut’s overall tourism marketing strategy, was recognized with a Gold award for integrated content marketing that combines PR, social, SEO/SEM, content seeding, cross-selling and email.

Residents in New York City who were recently exposed to the content marketing visited Connecticut six times more and stayed three-and-a-half times longer than those who were not exposed, according to Arrivalist, a highly advanced GPS-driven monitoring tool.
Additionally, there were nearly 7 million visits to www.CTvisit.com and about three million direct referrals to Connecticut businesses in 2019. Fifty-seven percent of that traffic was generated by the award-winning program.
