Agency recognized with national content marketing honors

Adams & Knighthas been recognized as a finalist in the Content Marketing Institute’s 2019 Content Marketing Awards for “Best Content Marketing Program in Travel/Tourism” for its work with the Connecticut Office of Tourism.

Reviewed by a panel of 75 judges and among 1,100 entries, the campaign was the only state-focused campaign recognized in the top five alongside Delta, Quantas, South African Tourism and Puerto Rico Tourism Company.

The 2018 campaign leveraged a strategic mix of over 250 original articles that were created by a range of topic experts and integrated user-generated content. The articles were promoted by content seeding, social media, public relations, influencer marketing and other digital tactics. They featured over 1,000 Connecticut hotels, restaurants, attractions, events and towns, providing more than three million leads directly to Connecticut businesses.

Among the primary target audience of New York City residents, those who were exposed to this content program visited Connecticut six times more than those who were not exposed, and stayed three-and-half times longer.  It earned $14 in incremental state and local tax revenue for every $1 spent in media.
