Adams & Knight helps raise $12,000 for Hartford Stage

Event Helped to Raise $12,000

On Saturday, October 20, Adams & Knight hosted a fundraising dinner on behalf of the Hartford Stage, which raised $12,000 for the regional theater. The featured speaker and guest for the event was American actor, director, and producer, Campbell Scott.
 
Currently, Scott plays Boris Kuester von Jurgens-Ratenicz on USA’s drama Royal Pains; he also appeared on three seasons of Damages, playing Joe Tobin. In film, he most recently played the role of Richard Parker, the father of Peter Parker, in the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man. Numerous films include Longtime Companion, Dying Young, Singles, and Handsome Harry.
 
In 1996, he teamed up with Stanley Tucci to direct the film Big Night. The film met with critical acclaim and was nominated for the “Grand Jury Prize” at the Sundance Film Festival. For their work, Scott and Tucci won both the New York Film Critics Circle Award and the Boston Society of Film Critics Award for Best New Director.
 
He is married to actress, Kathleen McElfresh, who accompanied him to the event; Ms. McElfresh was at Hartford Stage last season, playing Gabriella in the acclaimed production of Beverley Cross and Francis Evans’ Boeing-Boeing under the direction of Maxwell Williams.
