Agency takes home three Mercury Awards

Adams & Knight was recognized for superior communications work at the 2012 Mercury Awards Ceremony, which was held on Sept. 20 at the Pond House Grille in Glastonbury. Presented by the Connecticut Valley Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Avon-based agency received two gold and one silver Mercury Awards for its work in three distinct categories.

Jill Adams, principal of Adams & Knight, was awarded top honors in the Editorials/Op-Ed Columns category for her thought-leadership article on fusion marketing that urges marketers to take integrated marketing to the next level.

The agency also received gold in the Community Relations For-Profit category for its work with “We Love Upstate New York,” a social media campaign developed for First Niagara. The campaign created a forum for the people of upstate New York to share their experiences, photos and tips about the region and helped First Niagara to foster relationships with future customers. The agency received a silver Mercury award for the same campaign for Non-Traditional Communication.

“These awards recognize our ability to develop traditional and nontraditional forms of communication that integrate various marketing components,” said Adams. “Our diverse team of creative, interactive, social and public relations experts help our clients reach their business goals.”

Adams & Knight continues to be recognized for its outstanding and innovative campaigns that blend traditional marketing and public relations strategies with social, digital and creative prowess.
