Adams & Knight honored with two Lamplighter awards for healthcare communications
Adams & Knight, Inc., an integrated marketing agency, received Gold and Silver awards at the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) annual Lamplighter Awards Show.
Together with its client, Hartford Hospital, the agency earned Gold for its social media campaign “Thumbs up. Phones down.” The campaign, designed to make Connecticut’s roads safer by eliminating distracted driving, encouraged people to take a safe-driving pledge and ask their friends to do the same. Through a specially–designed Facebook tab and URL, the campaign garnered over 7,000 pledges and 970 shared posts – exceeding the client’s objective by 42 percent.
In the electronic marketing category, Adams & Knight was honored with a Silver award for its ReliaTackTM product launch campaign for Covidien. Aimed at hard-to-reach surgeons and procurement specialists, the email campaign consisted of a series of tailored messages with modular, animated videos that demonstrated the many benefits of the articulating fixation device. Email open rates were as high as 43 percent, five times higher than the industry average, and click through rates were 50 percent higher than the client average.
