(March 28, 2007)</strong>- For the third consecutive year, the American Marketing Association’s (AMA) Connecticut chapter awarded Adams &amp; Knight of Avon, Conn. with its top award – Best in Show. The integrated marketing firm also received eight Mark of Excellence Awards (MOE) for strategic marketing campaigns it created for its financial, healthcare, and education clients.</p>
<p style="text-align: left">The AMA awards are based on excellence, creative strategy, and results. All the awards received by Adams &amp; Knight reflect superior marketing results achieved for its clients.Adams &amp; Knight was awarded Best in Show out of all entries for an appeal video it created for Hartford Stage, Hartford’s Tony-award winning regional theater.</p>
<p style="text-align: left">The emotional fundraising video featured area students thanking previous donors for a free performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The video, shown at Hartford Stage’s 2006 gala, inspired attendees to fund two free theater performances of the Christmas classic for inner-city students in 2007 and more than doubled its fundraising goal.</p>
<p style="text-align: left">The eight MOEs awarded to Adams &amp; Knight underscore the agency’s leadership in its specialty areas of financial services, healthcare, and education. Six marketing MOEs were given for campaigns the agency developed for Travelers Insurance, Prudential Financial, Masonicare, ArtStamps (a school fundraiser that turns children’s art into U.S. postage) and Hartford Stage. Two additional MOEs were awarded for results-generating public relations campaigns created for Jefferson National Life Insurance and ArtStamps.</p>

<p style="text-align: left">Adams &amp; Knight Advertising and Public Relations received three Bell Ringer Awards from the Publicity Club of New England, the region’s oldest public relation’s trade organization and four Mercury Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).</p>
<p style="text-align: left">Adams &amp; Knight received a Bell Ringer award for its crisis communications work with Twinings Tea, a second Bell Ringer for its organization identity work for Mortgage Lenders Network, USA of Middletown, Conn., and a merit award for a publicity campaign for Bernie’s Audio Video TV Appliance Co., of Enfield, Conn.</p>
<p style="text-align: left">This year&#8217;s awards competition received 350 entries from 69 different PR agencies and honors public relations professionals throughout the entire New England region.</p>
<p style="text-align: left">Adams &amp; Knight also received recognition from the Connecticut PRSA at this year’s 2006 Mercury Awards. The agency received three Gold Mercury awards for its crisis communication campaign for Twinings Tea and television public service announcements (PSA) it produced for the United Way.
