Adams & Knight is proud to announce new appointments and promotions within its fast-growing Public Relations department. Currently ranked as the largest PR firm in Greater Hartford, Adams & Knight doubled the size of its client roster and public relations business in 2007.

Adams & Knight has appointed Gary Griffin to the position of director of public relations. Prior to his appointment, Griffin was senior account supervisor at the agency where he directed and implemented public relations and community relations programs, crisis and issues management campaigns, and media strategy. In his new role, Griffin will oversee strategic planning, new business and overall operations and management of the PR department whose client roster includes Jefferson National Life Insurance Company, Travelers, ArtStamps, and Renzulli Learning Systems.

Adams & Knight also announced the addition of Tony Berry as senior account executive and the promotion of Amy Naeser to account executive. Berry has more than 15-years experience developing and implementing public relations strategy for financial services, healthcare and non-profit clients. Previously in Connecticut, he was a corporate communications manager for jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney. Before moving from Atlanta, Berry worked for the William Mills Agency, the nation’s largest independent PR firm specializing in the banking and financial services industry. Early in his career, he also served more than six years as a broadcast journalist for the US Army.

Newly promoted to account executive, Naeser will help position consumer, financial and healthcare clients in leading national trade, print and broadcast media. In addition to leading select accounts, she will continue to focus on media outreach for a variety of clients.
