The Advertising Club of Connecticut awarded Adams & Knight with the prestigious “Gold Pen” for its work with the Girl Scouts of Connecticut at its 54th annual Award Show. Adams & Knight also won the most awards for the show, earning 29 additional awards in nearly every advertising category.

Adams & Knight earned the Gold Pen—the Ad Club’s top honor for copywriting—for the “Cookie Vote Posters” it created for the Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s Vote for Your Favorite Cookie campaign. The political campaign posters featured catchy lines like, “Let the Milk-Slinging Begin” and “Let the Crumbs Fly” and drove people to a Web site to vote for their favorite Girl Scout cookie.

As one judge said about the winning entry, “Where, in all of advertising, has the headline gone? It was nice to see such a wide range of them in this winning entry. Refreshing, light-hearted and consistent tone throughout the whole campaign.”

Of the 110 awards given out in more than 50 categories at the annual award show, Adams & Knight received 30, the most awarded to a single agency. The agency received 9 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze awards.

Adams & Knight’s award-winning work for its consumer, financial, education, healthcare and non-profit clients spanned the full spectrum of advertising categories including consumer television, integrated campaigns, interactive, consumer newspaper, business-to-business and illustrations.

Adams & Knight was awarded for its work with Sun Life, ING, Girl Scouts of Connecticut, Renzulli Learning, The Hartford Courant, Hartford Stage and the United Way.
