Ad Club Honors Adams & Knight with Best of Show

The Advertising Club of Connecticut awarded Adams & Knight with Best of Show—its top award—for the TV ad series it created for the Universal Healthcare Foundation of Connecticut. The agency was also the most awarded by the Ad Club, earning 30 additional awards in nearly every advertising category.

Agency Wins Most Awards at the 2007 Connecticut Advertising Club Awards Show

The Advertising Club of Connecticut awarded Adams & Knight with Best of Show—its top award— for the TV ad series it created for the Universal Healthcare Foundation of Connecticut. The agency was also the most awarded by the Ad Club, earning 30 additional awards in nearly every advertising category.

Adams & Knight earned the show’s top honors for a television advertising series created to raise Connecticut’s awareness about Universal Healthcare. The commercials drove viewers to a dedicated Web site http://www.healthcare4every1.org where they could learn more about the issue and contact their local politicians.

Described by judges as, “the clear cut winner for this year’s show,” the humorous and effective series expanded Connecticut residents’ understanding of both universal healthcare and health reform, and influenced politicians to start taking action to improve healthcare.

Of the more than 130 awards given out in 50 categories at the annual awards show, Adams & Knight received 30, the most awarded to a single agency. The agency received 8 gold, 16 silver and 8 bronzes.

The agency was awarded for its work with Hartford Hospital, Masonicare, Travelers, Sun Life Financial, Saint Joseph College, Renzulli Learning Systems and the United Way.The Ad club’s Best of Show honor comes on the heels of the agency being honored with the American Marketing Association’s Best of Show award for the third consecutive year. Adams & Knight was previously awarded Best of Show from the Ad Club in 2004.
